European conditions in the kindergarten in Mitoc village, renovated for money from the grant provided by the Romanian Government

„Marita” kindergarten in Mitoc village, Orhei rayon, one of 933 pre-school institutions renovated for money from the grant, provided by the Romanian Government, was inaugurated on Wednesday,  December 20, 2017.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă, the Executive Director of the MSIF, Mircea Esanu, the Chairman of Orhei rayon, Tudor Golub, the Mayor of Mitoc village, Alexei Cojocari, kindergarten staff, parents and children.

The kindergarten in Mitoc village benefited from works and goods worth about 1,800,000 lei. The complete overhaul of the roof, the thermal insulation of the building and interior repairs were carried out for these funds. Electric networks and floors have been replaced; new window, doors and an efficient ventilation system were installed. The addition to the main building of the kindergarten, which serves as a kitchen, was built, arranged and equipped. The yard was paved, and the territory was fenced. The institution also received furniture for groups.

The Romanian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă, said: "The Kindergarten in Mitoc village has been renovated according to the European standards. The results obtained at this kindergarten were also possible thanks to our partners from MSIF and the local community, who have assumed this project, showing seriousness and responsibility. I am glad that the program for the renovation of preschool institutions has become a sort of registered trademark of Romania's support to the Republic of Moldova and, that our model has been taken over by others. "

In turn, Mircea Esanu, the Executive Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, the institution responsible for the implementation of the kindergarten renovation program, said: "Two years ago there were only walls here, today we have a fully functional institution, that meets all conditions for these children to grow nicely. This year, about 110 kindergartens were renovated for money provided by the Romanian Government. 35 of them have a new heating system, which means that it is warmer for the children in these kindergartens and, that children have forgotten the old stoves, that heated their playrooms and bedrooms in the previous winter. "

Mayor of Mitoc village, Alexei Cojocari, said: "The conditions in the kindergarten are very good. Without the support of the Romanian Government, we would not have been able to have these results. The value of the works is 1.8 million lei, while the budget of the village is only 2.7 million lei to support all the institutions in the village. I want to give the greatest thanks in all my heart for the financial help that has been offered to us. "

The Mariţa” kindergarten in Mitoc village was opened in 2007 in one of the units of the village gymnasium. Previously, during ten years, there was no pre-school institution in the locality. Kindergarten in Mitoc village is attended by 75 children.
