MSIF has inaugurated another kindergarten, renovated for funds provided by the Romanian Government

The only kindergarten in the Gangura village, Ialoveni rayon, was inaugurated on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, after being renovated for funds provided by the Romanian Government for rehabilitation of pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova

 

The festive event was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Andrei Chistol; the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă; the Head of the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Issues of Romania, Dorin Sandu Voicu; deputies from the Commission for Defense, Public Order and National Security of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania, deputies from the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova; MSIF Executive Director, Mircea Esanu, representatives of local authorities, parents and children.

 

 

"It is one of Romania's successful projects in the Republic of Moldova. Over 845 kindergartens from all rayons of the country have been already rehabilitated with the assistance of MSIF, central and local Moldovan authorities. Through such projects we want to send an extremely important message to the Republic of Moldova, supporting its European path. Certainly, this project will continue," Daniel Ioniţă said, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova.

 

 

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Andrei Chistol, thanked the Romanian Government for its substantial contribution to the renovation and equipping of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova, which gives a significant input to the development of rural communities. "It is a great pleasure to see children's joy, the gratitude of their parents and the result of the fruitful collaboration. I want to thank our development partner no. 1 - Romania, which offers not only a very valuable support, but also the certainty and confidence in a prosperous future here, at home through this Program of technical and financial assistance for preschool institutions, together with the renovation of the Art Museum in Chisinau, the Organ Hall or equipping of schools with means of transport," emphasized the official.

 

Romaniţa” kindergarten in Gangura village began its activity in 1986 and has never been repaired ever since. In 2013, local authorities have obtained the access to funds provided by the Romanian Government. Thus, it was possible to repair and equip three of the seven blocks of the institution.

 

 

"The kndergarten in Gangura village benefited from works amounting to 1 852 574 lei. The boiler house was repaired and a new boiler was installed, the roof of the kindergarten was replaced, new doors were installed, internal works were carried out (finishing of walls, ceilings, repairing and replacing of floors), water and sewerage systems, electric and ventilating systems have been repaired for these funds. At the same time, external repairs have been carried out (façade, basement, sun shields). The kindergarten was equipped with furniture for groups and equipment for the playground. MSIF has some 22 kindergartens under construction at the moment, but it is already preparing its forces for the next tranche, which could eventually come from the Romanian Government,"said MSIF Executive Director, Mircea Esanu.

 

 

 

Information about the Project

 

The Government of Romania has allocated 26 million euros through "The Program of technical and financial assistance provided by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova." for the renovation and equipping of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova. 845 kindergartens from Moldova benefited from these funds.

 

The grant provided by the Government of Romania is managed by the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF).

 

The MSIF is an institution founded 20 years ago by the World Bank and donor countries in order to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by managing the external assistance.
