Today, October 20, 2020, managers of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" participated in an online meeting with representatives of the World Bank mission in the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.

The development of activities related to monitoring the implementation of subprojects under Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project (MERP), in particular, the percentage of work completion at sites under renovation was the main topic of the discussion. At the same time, participants in the meeting expressed their opinion on work perspectives, expected results and challenges that appear in the current conditions affected by the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

Another aspect approached during the discussion referred to the Environmental Management Framework implemented in the process of renovation of educational institutions managed by the PI MSIF within the Project.

In total, 17 district general educational institutions will be renovated within the Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund". At the moment, at 10 sites civil works are commissioned and at 7 sites civil works are ongoing.
