NINE GENERAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS WERE RENOVATED IN 2020, THROUGH THE FISM

 

The repair works in nine educational institutions, rehabilitated within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project, were accomplished in 2020.

 

 

 

Itisabout:

 

 

 

1. “Mihai Eminescu” TL in Cimislia town;

 

 

 

2. “Mihai Eminescu” TL in Straseni town;

 

 

 

3. “Alexander Agapie” TL in Pepeni village, Singerei rayon;

 

 

 

4. “Axentii Doljnenco” TL in Vulcaneşti town;

 

 

 

5. “Andrei Vartic” TL in Ialoveni town;

 

 

 

6. “Stefan Holban” TL in Carpineni village, Hincesti rayon;

 

 

 

7. “Vasile Alecsandri” TL in Colibas village, Cahul rayon;

 

 

 

8. “Stefan Voda” TL in Stefan Voda town;

 

 

9. “M. Eminescu” Gymnasium in Telenesti town.

 

New water and sewerage networks, electrical networks and ventilation systems, heating systems, windows and access roads for children with special needs have been installed in these schools. The interior and exterior of the buildings, including the bathroom units, have been repaired. In some cases, facades were thermally insulated and roofs were repaired. In addition, fire detectors have been installed and the territory has been arranged. Some institutions have already been equipped with new furniture and equipment for physics, chemistry and computer laboratories, other ones are in the process.

 

By the end of 2021, repair works will be accomplished at other 5 educational institutions, these being the last of the 23 beneficiary schools within the Project:

 

 

 

1. “P. Rareș” TL in Soroca town (execution 79,5%);

 

 

 

2. “M. Eminescu” TL in Anenii Noi town (execution 41%);

 

 

 

3. “Alexandru cel Bun” TL in Rezina town (execution 69,44%);

 

 

 

4. „Ion Pelivan” TL in Răzeni village, Ialoveni rayon (execution 37,7%);

 

 

5. „Alecu Russo” TL in Cojușna village, Straseni rayon (execution 33%).

 

Repair works are carried out by the Moldova Social Investment Fund, within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, with the financial support of the World Bank.

 

The "Moldova Education Reform" Project is a specific investment loan, granted by the World Bank, implemented between April 2013 - April 2022, which supports the Government of the Republic of Moldova through financing activities that will strengthen the quality of education and lead to a more efficient education sector.
