Two other kindergartens, renovated for funds from the Grant provided by the Romanian Government through MSIF, were inaugurated

Executive Director of the Social Investment Fund (MSIF), Mircea Esanu, and the Ambassador of Romania to Chisinau, Marius Lazurca, inaugurated today, on  November 27, 2015 a kindergarten in the Brânza village of the Cahul rayon. Also this week a kindergarten-nursery in the Țaul village, Donduseni rayon, has been reopened after finalization of repairs. Both preschool institutions have been renovated through "The technical and financial assistance program provided by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions in Moldova" in total amount of 20 million Euros.

2 million lei were allocated for renovation works at the kindergarten in the Brânza village. The entire roof of the kindergarten has been replaced and new windows and doors has been installed for these money. The external walls were insulated, and the facade of the institution was entirely renovated. The pavement has been laid and playlots have been arranged in the courtyard of the kindergarten. Also new furniture was purchased for all the groups of children.

 

Being present at the inauguration of the kindergarten, the Romanian Ambassador Marius Lazurca said that he appreciates renovation works made in kindergarten. "We are glad to support and contribute to improving conditions in kindergartens, but also to the development of rural communities in Moldova. I attended several inaugurations of kindergartens and I was pleased with the renovation works that were made. We appreciate how the financial aid, provided by the Romanian Government, was valued", said the Ambassador Marius Lazurca.

 

The Executive Manager of the MSIF, Mircea Eşanu, thanked the Romanian Government for the unconditional assistance provided for kindergartens in our country and called on beneficiaries to preserve renovation works that have been made. "For money provided by the Romanian Government so far, renovation works in over 660 kindergarten throughout the country have been completed. More than 120 preschool institutions were equipped with new furniture, kitchens, playlots. The conditions are better today in most kindergartens in villages than in many kindergartens in Chisinau or rayon centers. Preserve this wonderful kindergarten", said Mircea Eşanu.

 

Also this week, the Executive Manager of the MSIF, Mircea Eşanu, attended the inauguration of the kindergarten in the village Ţaul, rayon Donduseni. 2 million 700 thousand lei from the grant provided by the Romanian Government and 250 thousand lei from MSIF financial sources have been allocated for the renovation of the kindergarten-nursery "Martisor". The repair works included replacement of the roof, sewer system, windows and doors, the installation of the heating system, the insulation of exterior walls and repairs inside the building. Also, the new furniture for all groups of children was purchased and bathrooms were furnished for this money.

 

Currently, the kindergarten-nursery school is attended by 110 children. After the finalization of the repair the capacity of the preschool institution in Ţaul will be extended for one more group of 25 children.

 

Inauguration events at kindergartens in Brânza and Ţaul were also attended by mayors of localities, the management of preschool institutions, teachers, local officials, and representatives of parents, whose children attend these kindergartens. "I have waited years to have such a beautiful kindergarten. Due to lack of funding only repair work were made each year. We are glad we had a chance to be among the beneficiaries of the grant provided by the Romanian Government. Thank Moldova Social Investment Fund for the good cooperation, understanding and support ", said the mayor of the Ţaul village, Mitrica Andonii.

 

 

Background information:

The beneficiaries of the grant provided by the Romanian Government are 774 preschool institutions from 32 rayons of the country and more than 200 thousand people: children, parents, teachers and support personnel.

 

Works financed under the grant provided by the Romanian Government include capital repairs of buildings, the replacement of the roof, heating systems, electrical networks, playlots arrangement, the replacement of  windows and doors, external walls insulation, the construction of water supply and sewer systems of kindergartens, sanitary facilities, procurement of the equipment, furniture, etc.

 

Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF) is an institution created by the World Bank and donor countries in order to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by managing the external assistance.
