The bathroom units in primary, secondary and high school education institutions will be renovated from financial sources in the amount of 5 million lei allocated during the meeting of July 1 this year by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. The Regulation on the organization of the procedure for implemention of renovation/construction projects of bathroom units in primary, secondary and high school institutions aims to establish the procedures for selection, organization and development of projects to improve hygiene and sanitation in primary, secondary and high school education institutions.

The financial means approved in the State Budget will be allocated to the Public Institution " Moldova Social Investment Fund" which will ensure the evaluation and initiation of projects for renovation/construction of bathroom units in education institutions benefiting from those projects.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, together with the local specialized bodies in the field of education based on eligibility criteria will assess the information on needs of primary, secondary and high school institutions on improving hygiene and sanitation at those institutions, and will approve the list of institutions benefiting from investments, which will be submitted for execution to PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund".
