
The Kindergarten in the village of Tarnova, Edinet district was inaugurated on Friday, September 15, after it was renovated for money provided by Romania for the rehabilitation of pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova. The Kindergarten started its activity in 1986, and since then no capital repair has ever been carried out.
The roof of the kindergarten was replaced, new windows and doors were installed, the heating and sewerage system was renovated, bathroom units and the kitchen were renovated, hot water boilers were installed and new furniture was purchased for all 4 groups of children for money from the Romanian grant of over 2.43 million lei and the contribution of the town of over 410 thousand lei.


The event was attended by the Ambassador of Romania to Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă, the Deputy Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, Liuba Cuzneţova, 3 parliamentary deputies from Bucharest, members of the Joint Commission for European Integration from the Parliament of Romania and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Bogdan Rodeanu, Daniel Popescu and Marius Budăi, the parliamentary deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Sirbu, the Chairman of Edinet rayon, Iurii Garas, the Mayor of Tarnova, Cornelia Rusu, kindergarten employees, parents and children.

Bogdan Rodeanu, the Member of the Parliament of Romania, said: "We are honored to be here today in Tarnova, a very young community, in a community with a lot of children, and from what I see and we all understand that they put the education of children in the first place. We are honored to be here and bring the message of good faith and help of the Romanian Government and the Romania itself. Let us thank you for your warm welcome and send you our greetings and signs of encouragement for what will follow in the future – the constant and firm support for the Republic of Moldova from the side of Romania."

Daniel Ioniţă, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, said: "The support we provide to the Republic of Moldova demonstrates that Romania is doing what it promises, and Romania already has promised that it will be always very close to the Republic of Moldova on its European path. If we can not help you to integrate tomorrow in the European Union, we have been able to bring you a part of Europe here, because everything that has been done in this kindergarten was carried out at European standards."
In addition, the Ambassador of Romania noted the contribution of the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF) to the implementation of the kindergarten renovation program. "I would like to thank our partners, who have been close to us for implementingthis program and, first of all, the MSIF, because each time you have been our serious partners, you have assumed responsibility for this task and have always been delivering everything in time," Daniel Ioniţă said during the event.

Liuba Cuzneţova, the Deputy Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, said: "The 26 million euros invested in this country, in our kindergartens have, in fact, offered hope for thousands of children and parents, who daily take their children to kindergarten and enjoy what they see, enjoy conditions, in which their children will grow, and gain confidence in the future. I thank Romanian people, the Government of Romania for this donation. On behalf of MSIF, I guarantee that every bani donated to pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova reaches beneficiaries ".
30 kindergartens in Edinet rayon in total benefited from funds allocated from the Romanian grant; the total amount for performed works and purchased goods exceeds 14.5 million lei.

Information about the Project
The Romanian Government has allocated 26 million through the "Program of technical and financial assistance granted by the Government of Romania for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova", managed by the Moldova Social Investment Fund.
The program included 933 kindergartens from all rayons of Moldova, and 832 of them have already been renovated in the last 2 years.
The MSIF is an institution founded 20 years ago by the World Bank and donor countries in order to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by managing the external assistance.
