Today, December 4, 2020, the wrap-up meeting and presentation of the Financial Audit Report of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project took place. The audit has been performed by the Controller General of the Republic of Moldova on December 31, 2019.

According to the Project Operations Manual, the Public Institution “Moldova Social Investment Fund” based on Law no. 129 of July 7, 2017 on the ratification of Amendment No. 2 to the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the World Bank (International Development Association), is responsible for the implementation of Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project, which provides for renovation and modernization of 17 district schools.

The Audit Mission, carried out in accordance with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions applied by the Controller General, was performed with regard to interim financial reports, prepared based on the special purpose financial reporting system.

Following the examination, it was found that these financial reports, in all respects, provide a fair and accurate picture in accordance with the applicable financial reporting system and the requirements of the World Bank.

Note:

As of 31.12.2019: 13 educational institutions were in the process of renovation, and civil works in 4 institutions were completed.

As of 01.12.2020: 7 educational institutions are in the process of renovation, and in 10 - civil works are at the comissioning stage.
