The inauguration event of the kindergarten no. 140 in Bacioi community, Chisinau municipality, took place on January 21 this year. The event was attended by: His Excellency, Romanian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Ionita, Mr. Ion Ceban, the Mayor of Chisinau, Mr. Leahu Ilie, the Mayor of Bacioi community, Chisinau municipality, Mr. Vladimir Bolea, the Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Iurie Chiorescu, the Director of the PI “Moldova Social Investment Fund”, Mr. Vasile Gradinaru, the municipal councillor, residents of Bacioi community.
So far, the kindergarten has not worked, being closed since 1994. Rehabilitation of the building began in 2012. The cost of the renovation process of the "Ion Creanga" kindergarten no.140 was about 20 million lei. Repair works included replacing of the roof, renovation of the kitchen, rooms for groups, the facade, also pavilions and playgrounds. The Chisinau City Hall contributed 80 percent of the total cost of rehabilitation works for this objective.
In addition, the kindergarten no. 140 in Bacioi community, Chisinau municipality benefited from investments within the Technical and Financial Assistance Program granted by the Romanian Government in 2016 for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova (GD no. 132/2017) in the amount of 852 808 lei for equipping with furniture, household and laundry equipment, industrial equipment for the kitchen and sports inventory.
His Excellency Daniel Ioniță stated that the event "is the part of an extensive program that covered almost 1000 kindergartens throughout the Republic of Moldova and, I am very happy that this Pprogram also approached to Chisinau." Education is important! Characters are formed, people are formed through education, who have the chance to offer a really better future to the Republic of Moldova. We want these little ones to grow up beautifully.”
The Mayor of the capital, Mr. Ion Ceban, mentioned that “the rehabilitation of the social infrastructure in the suburbs remains the priority for the municipality, so he regularly visited stes under the renovation process in Bacioi, schools and kindergartens, to ensure the smooth running of things.”
The Director of the PI MSIF, Mr. Iurie Chiorescu, underlined the fact “that the investment for the equipping of the kindergarten no.140 is only a part of the total amount of 3 million lei allocated to the Băcioi community village hall from the grant provided by the Romanian Government. The difference of 2,147,192 lei is allocated to the construction of a new kindergarten with the capacity of 3 groups in the Braila village, Bacioi community, creating access to improved conditions for the early education of over 70 children. The construction works will start soon."
„Ion Creangă" Kindergarten no. 140 in Bacioi community has a capacity of 160 places distributed among 7 groups of children, including a nursery group, with 41 kindergarten teachers and auxiliary staff.
Note: A total amount of 29 million Euros has been allocated for the renovation and equipping of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova by the Government of Romania since 2014 within the Technical and Financial Assistance Program provided by the Government of Romania for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Over 1000 kindergartens are renovated and equipped for these funds.
The Public Institution “Moldova Social Investment Fund” has been designated as the entity responsible for the preparation, implementation and reporting on the implementation of projects financed by the Romanian Government.
