
Today, May 26, the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" participated in a monitoring visit to the "Alecu Russo" Theoretical Lyceum in Cojusna village, Straseni rayon, financed under Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform” Project by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented with the technical assistance of the PI “Moldova Social Investment Fund”.
The meeting was attended by: the Director of the lyceum, Mrs. Daniela Donoaga, the technical manager, Mr. Victor Baiesu, representatives of the KVM CONS SRL construction company, other beneficiaries.
The discussions have been focused on aspects related to the quality of works, performed by the contractor in the volume of 85%, on the compliance with the Environmental Management framework, on ensuring the impact of implemented subprojects on the community, on benefits and development prospects of subprojects with the scope to ensure sustainability of results obtained.
The following types of civil works have been carried out within the subproject: replacment of carpentry articles (door blocks, stained glass), interior repairs (walls, floor, ceilings), exterior repairs (access ramp, porches, canopies, socle finishing), landscaping (pavement, fence), replacement of electricity wiring, replacement of indoor and outdoor water supply and sewerage networks, installation of the forced ventilation system, installation of automatic fire and burglar systems, installation of low voltage networks (video surveillance network, computer network, bell), installation of the water heating equipment, including automation of the heating system, construction of the boiler house with engineering networks and technological equipment, construction of external heating system networks and gas supply networks (indoor and outdoor).
The cost of the executed civil works - 12 150 014 lei

The "Moldova Education Reform" Project is a specific investment loan, granted by the World Bank, being implemented between April 2013 and April 2022, which supports the Government of the Republic of Moldova by financing activities that will improve the quality of education and lead to a more efficient education sector.
In total, 17 general educational institutions will be renovated within the Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund". Currently, the PI MSIF monitors the development of renovation works performed in 5 educational institutions benefiting from investments, and which will be commissioned before the beginning of the new school year.
