Today, June 30, 2021, the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" (PI MSIF) carried out a monitoring visit to construction sites of subprojects implemented in Rezina town with technical assistance of the PI MSIF:
1) ”Civil works at the Theoretical Lyceum "Alexandru cel Bun" financed by the World Bank within the Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Researches;
2) ”Civil works in the kindergarten no.2 "Andrieș"" financed within the Technical and Financial Assistance Program granted by the Government of Romania for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova (GD no. 132/2017).
During the visits, discussions were held with the project beneficiaries and the officials of the construction company regarding the execution schedule of civil works, challenges faced within the work process and regarding measures to reduce risks. At the same time, it was found that civil works at the site are carried out in compliance with the protection measures against the spread of COVID-19 virus.
About 1000 pupils, 83 teachers and auxiliary staff in the "Alexandru cel Bun" Theoretical Lyceum will benefit from studying and working conditions according to European standards within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project.
Within the subproject, the following types of works are executed: thermal insulation of facadeы in sections A, B, C, D; replacement of the heating system in sections A, B, C, D; replacement of the ventilation system in sections B, C, D; replacement of internal water and sewerage networks in sections A, B, C, D; replacement of interior electric wiring and electrical equipment in section A; installation of fire and burglar alarm systems; construction of the boiler house; replacement of external water and sewerage networks, heating and gas supply networks; procurement and installation of technological equipment and replacement of engineering networks of the boiler house; repair of bathroom units in sections D, C.
The total cost of civil works - 15,767,209 lei, including 1,524,349 lei is the community contribution.

More than 150 children from the kindergarten no. 2 "Andrieș" in Rezina town will benefit from improved conditions of early education. The carpentry articles (interior doors) are replaced, various repairs in the interior are performed (floors, plastering and walls lining), replacement of interior water supply and sewer networks, ventilation system, replacement of interior wiring and interior electrical equipment within the Subproject.
The total cost of civil works - 954,420 lei, including 454,420 lei – the community contribution.
