
The official inauguration event of the "Paving pedestrian access roads on Pushkin Street" sub-project took place on December 12, 2019 in Comrat municipality.
The event was attended by:
• His Excellency, German Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Angela Ganninger
• The representative of the German KFW Bank in Moldova, Sergiu Gutu
• Bashkan of ATU Gagauzia, Irina Vlah
• The Mayor of Comrat municipality, Anastasov Serghei
• The management of the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund"
• Inhabitants of Comrat municipality.
The "Paving pedestrian access roads on Pushkin street" sub-project was funded by the German Development Bank "Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau" (KfW) under the "Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency" Program, Phase II, in the context of German Financial Cooperation with the Republic of Moldova, and implemented with technical assistance of the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund".
About 5,000 m2 of pedestrian access roads have been paved and about 5500 r.m. of kerb stones have been mounted on Pushkin street within the subproject.
After the implementation of the subproject, population's access to several social objects has been improved: City Hall, Culture House, Health Center, Comrat State University, lyceums, kindergartens, agicultural market, recreation park and other public institutions.
