On Thursday, July 23, 2020, during the videoconference organized by the PI “Moldova Social Investment Fund”, 18 projects on the renovation/construction of bathroom units in primary, secondary educational institutions and lyceums worth 4.8 million lei from sources of the State Budget were launched. Projects are to be managed by the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund".

The selection of beneficiaries was carried out based on the Regulation on the organization of the procedure for implementation of  renovation/construction projects of bathroom units in general education institutions approved by GD no. 453 of 01.07.2020 (MO no. 165-176, 2020) and the Order of the  Ministry of Education, Culture and Researches no. 677 of 17.07.2020 on the approval of the List of general education institutions, potential beneficiaries of investments for the improvement of hygiene and sanitation conditions.

The information session was aimed at familiarizing beneficiaries with the objectives and implementation strategy of the Project, promotion methods of subprojects at the local level, procurement procedures, funding mechanisms, these being the basic topics included in the agenda.

In order to streamline the process of informing event participants the Grant Application Form and the Investment Beneficiary's Guide - information support materials have been developed and disseminated for representatives of local public administrations and educational institutions.

By July 30, 2020, beneficiaries of projects will submit to PI MSIF the completed Grant Application Form.
