The renovation process of general schools within Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project (MERP) funded by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" is in full swing.

Renovation works at the construction site of the “Mihai Eminescu” gymnasium in Telenesti town continue in a special routine conditioned by the declaration of the state of emergency in the context of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). We note that civil works have been resumed in this institution, starting with March.

Now, the following types of civil works are being executed: roof works, exterior and interior works in sections B1, B2, G (floors, carpentry, electrical network and electrical equipment, external electrical network, heating and ventilation systems, exterior and interior networks of water supply and sewerage), external heat supply network, landscaping works in the school territory.

The cost of civil workscarried out by the S.C. „IMVOCOM-PRIM” S.R.L.  is 3 543 470,41 lei.

The Contract period: 21.02.2020 – 21.08.2020.

Currently, the PI MSIF monitors the development of renovation works carried out in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements in 11 educational institutions benefiting from investments within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project (MERP).

In total, 17 general educational institutions will be renovated within the Project, and the investment for each lyceum will amount up to 700,000 US dollars.
