WORKING VISIT TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE OF THE NEW STUDY BLOCK AT THE “MIHAI EMINESCU” THEORETICAL HIGH SCHOOL FROM MUN. COMRAT, UTAG

 

Monitoring the implementation schedule of the "Construction of the new study section at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat municipality, ATU Gagauzia" subproject is a priority for the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" (PI MSIF). For this purpose, today, July 16, 2021, the PI MSIF team went to the construction site of the new high school study section. Students and teachers in this institution will enjoy improved study conditions thanks to the Technical and Financial Assistance Program provided by the Government of Romania.

 

During discussions with the subproject beneficiaries, representatives of the Local public administration, officials from the construction company and the technical manager addressed the aspects related to the execution schedule of civil works, challenges that appear in the work process and risk mitigation measures. At the same time, it was found that civil works at the site are carried out in compliance with the protection measures against the spread of COVID-19 virus.

 

The cost of civil works is 20,051,381.08 lei, 15 million lei of which have provided by the Romanian Government and 5.7 million lei are provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Researches.

 

The new study block will have several of the facilities currently missing in the institution: gym, shower cubicles, canteen, water closet, library, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology lessons. At the same time, modernization works at the existing section will be carried out within the subproject, such as the adaptation of bathroom units for pupils with special needs, and re-equipment of some administrative premises into study rooms.

 

The construction of the section will provide better study conditions for over 700 pupils from the region who will study in Romanian language.
