
On August 22, 2019, PE "Moldova Social Investment Fund" in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research organized a seminar within the component A.2 of the "Education Reform in Moldova" Project, financed by the World Bank.
The event was attended by: Valentina Chicu, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Sergiu Harea, Project coordinator, Lucia Casap, the representative of the World Bank, Sergiu Niculita, Deputy director of PE MSIF and beneficiaries of the project: representatives of the rayon and local public authorities, heads of rayon Education Departments, directors of educational institutions and, at the same time, representatives of design and construction companies, technical managers of the renovated sites.
Beneficiaries and partners of the Project, seminar participants discussed achievements achieved within the Project so far, prospects for future works, expected results and existing problems that appear within the process of subprojects implementation.
The meeting is of high importance in the context of the exchange of experience between beneficiaries of subprojects that are already in the process of implementation and those who will soon start renovation works. During presentations, aspects of monitoring of the implementation process of each subproject and the Environmental Management Framework in the process of renovation of educational institutions realized by the MSIF within the Project have been addressed.

As part of the Project, 17 rayon education institutions are to be renovated, and the investment for each secondary school will amount to US$ 700,000.
