ANOTHER KINDERGARTEN IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA, RENOVATED WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT FROM BUCHAREST

 

Romania continues to support the development of the education system in the Republic of Moldova. A new successful project has been completed, and children from Raspopeni village, Soldanesti rayon, can go to kindergarten again, after the building has been renovated. No less than one million lei was invested for modernization of the kindergarten. Half of the amount was donated by the Government from Bucharest, and the other half was provided by the Local authorities.

 

The kindergarten in Raspopeni village resumed its activity after a break of one year. The building was under repair: the roof was replaced, the facade was renovated. In addition, a new bathroom unit was built.

 

ECATERINA BULIMAGĂ, the Director of the kindergarten: “As I said, the kindergarten has become much more attractive, more comfortable, there is more space. Of course, they have felt good so far because we have tried our best to create a positive climate for them, but now of course it is even better.

 

The kindergarten in Raspopeni village is attended by 60 children. Today, they had a reason to celebrate after the institution was modernized and resumed its activity. One million lei were invested for the renovation of the kindergarten, and half of the amount was donated by the Romanian people.

 

NICOLAE GONŢA, the Mayor of the Raspopeni village: “The roof with the facade cost us 486 thousand lei. And another half a million lei was granted by the Romania. A basement was built, the extension to the main building on a concrete foundation and with a metal reinforcement frame, because we are in a seismic zone, for this reason, it became necessary to make the structure more reliable.”

 

IURIE CHIORESCU, director, Social Investment Fund of Moldova: “We have equipped the kindergarten with bathroom units, interior and exterior renovation has been carried out, and over 50 children will benefit from this. We are very happy for Romania's unprecedented contribution for children in the Republic of Moldova."

 

His Excellency the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, DANIEL IONITA: “Children represent the most valuable resource of a nation, and education is essential, because only through education we can grind for good this valuable human resource. The educational field was one of excellence, in which the Romanian Government over time has made an important contribution.

 

From 2014 until now, the Romanian Government has granted to the Republic of Moldova almost 30 million euros for the renovation of over 1100 kindergartens.
