Сhildren in Sadova village enjoy better conditions in the kindergarten, which was renovated for the grant provided by the Romanian Government through MSIF

Today, on July 7, 2017, the pre-school institution was inaugurated after it was renovated for funds allocated by the Romanian Government. It took place after 35 years, during which the kindergarten from Sadova village, Calarasi rayon, has not been repaired at all.


The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, the Romanian Ambassador, Daniel Ioniţă, Deputy Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF), Liuba Cuzneţova, representatives of local authorities, kindergarten staff, parents and children have attended the ceremony.


The President of the country, Igor Dodon, thanked the kindergarten employees for the education received in this institution and Romania, represented by Daniel Ioniţă, for the support provided for the renovation of the pre-school institutions in Moldova. Igor Dodon on behalf of the charitable foundation "With all heart" under the auspices of the First Lady, offered a playground to children from the kindergarten in Sadova.


Igor Dodon said:"The complete overhaul of this kindergarten became possible with the support of our friends and partners across the Prut river. I would like to thank the Romanian Government, our friends, for this very beautiful gesture, for this social project. I am firmly convinced that our bilateral relations will continue to be as fruitful as they have been so far."


The Ambassador of Romania, Daniel Ioniţă, said: "In recent years, Romania has allocated 26 million euros for the reconstruction of pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Our investments have gone in all rayons, because we believe that so we can help to educate and polish the most important resource of a country, people. By learning and educating themselves in a kindergarten brought to European standards, children will have a chance to grow up in a nice environment, will be able to become good people, and will be able to take care of the destiny of their country."


Over 921,000 lei were allocated for renovation works at the Sadova kindergarten from the grant provided by the Romanian Government. The roof was replaced, the water supply and sewerage systems were renovated, and the kitchen was renovated and equipped with modern equipment for this money. In addition, the power-supply system and the ventilation system were renovated, new furniture for the kindergarten was procured, and the medical room was arranged and equipped.



The Deputy Director of the MSIF, Liuba Cuzneţova, said: "I have a great pleasure today to represent the Moldova Social Investment Fund, those, who have to ensure that all investments, so generously offered by the Government of Romania and other donors, reach the beneficiary, and that works are performed in a qualitative and timely manner. This year, MSIF completes 20 years of activity. During these years, the MSIF team has implemented investment projects in schools, kindergartens and cultural centers. We have built pipelines, aqueducts, sewer systems, and today there is probably no village, in which we have not worked. We can see what has been carried out in the kindergarten in Sadova village, that is just a drop of all, what we have managed to implement for money provided by the Romanian Government within the period between 2014-2017."




About 80 children aged from 3 to 7 years old attend the kindergarten in Sadova village.


Information about the project


The Romanian Government has allocated 26 million through the "Program of technical and financial assistance granted by the Government of Romania for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova" for renovation and equipping of kindergartens in Moldova.


832 preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova have been renovated for funds from the grant provided by Romania. More than 200 thousand people - children, parents and teachers, are the beneficiaries of the Program. Financial resources provided by the Government of Romania are used for the following: capital improvements of buildings, replacement of roofs, heating systems, electrical networks, arrangement of playlots, replacement of windows and doors, insulation of exterior walls, construction of water supply and sewerage systems in kindergartens, arrangement of washroom and lavatory units, procurement of equipment, furniture, etc.


The MSIF is an institution established with the support of the World Bank and donor countries in order to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by managing the external assistance.
